With 24 years of experience in the residential construction industry, I bring a lifetime of hands-on knowledge, building expertise, and a passion for helping homeowners and builders achieve energy-efficient, quality homes. I began my career in residential construction at just 14 years old, working as a laborer and carpenter. Since then, I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge throughout the building industry. After obtaining my builder's license in 2021, I began constructing custom homes, additions, pole barns, and garages, gaining valuable experience in the many aspects of residential building construction. ### Continuing a Family Legacy In early 2019, my father, Kris Thorsen, purchased White Lake Energy from the individual who had previously performed energy testing on our homes. Over the years, he dedicated himself to growing the business and providing reliable energy testing services to builders and homeowners throughout the area. In 2024, the business was divided into two divisions: White Lake Energy North and White Lake Energy South. I am proud to have purchased the northern division, while my sister, Rebekka Wolffis, took ownership of the southern division. Together, we are continuing the legacy our father built while bringing our own experience and dedication to the energy testing industry. ### Construction Experience Meets Energy Efficiency My extensive background in building construction has given me a strong understanding of residential building practices, energy requirements, and the factors that affect a home's overall efficiency. This experience allows me to approach energy testing with a practical, construction-focused perspective. When a home does not pass a blower door test, I can often use my knowledge of construction to help homeowners and builders identify potential areas where air leakage may be occurring. Rather than simply providing test results, I strive to help clients better understand the issues and identify possible solutions. In addition to blower door testing, I offer thermal imaging services to assist in locating potential problem areas when needed. I also perform duct testing to help evaluate duct system air leakage and support compliance with applicable energy requirements. ### Looking Forward to Serving You Whether you are building a new home, completing an addition, or working to meet energy efficiency requirements, I am committed to providing dependable testing services and helpful guidance throughout the process.
